English
What do you think of when I write that word?
English Class?
English as opposed to French or Greek?
How is it that one word that seems pretty simple can have people thinking about something totally different. What about the word "Vision" or "Worship" or perhaps "Justice".
I'm feeling frustrated with this right now. How clearly do you have to spell something out? It seems that even within the definition, you have to define each word! Then within THAT definition...define those words too. It can be a long process.
A vulcan mind-meld would be handy in such circumstances. You just sit there for a moment and then say "Oohhhhhh....I get it now!"
Communication is very tricksy. Yes it is. These are the days that I am thankful for Jason. He and I speak the same language. We understand each other. Perhaps we have a few Mars/Venus moments, but on the whole, we have the same vision in life...ministry...etc. Well...okay....except for the fact that I'd like to travel and have adventure...meet people, talk alot etc...and Jason would like to stay home with me. However, that's just a personality thing. Most couples are made up of one of each of those I think. The homebody and the social-bug.
Knitting is going well. I've made 5 things so far, and am working on my 6th. The 5 were straight knitting, while this new one is not only using the stockinette stitch, but is also using 2 colours! (Cindy also taught me the "continental knitting" style which makes knitting soooo much easier!)
I'm not a nerd, really. I'm just needing to feel creative. Something I can do with my kids around...that gives me a useful and fun product.
Now what would make me a real knit-nerd would be if I signed up for a KNITTING CRUISE! I kid you not....I saw this advertised. Now that is just plain sad.
So now Anneka is in school...Aila is napping, and I shall enjoy my next 2 hours of moi-time.
