Last weekend we spend a lovely time in Toronto. We were there for our good friend Colette's wedding. It was so nice to see 2 other people from the "old days" (Come to the Cross). I hadn't seen Julia Pirani forEVER. I thought there would be more people there from those days...but the couple of us had a blast anyway! Colette looked like Royalty. The wedding was completely lovely.
Work has been crazy. I average 17-20 books at any given time. When one project ends, another comes in....so there is always something to do. I've had some great comments on my new website overhaul, and have gotten some new contracts because of it. Yay God!
MY EXCITING WORK NEWS......
I've also been working with a "new business partner" from Winnipeg on some marketing work. I did a website, and am now working on Ads. One is going in the career section of the Globe and Mail, and others are going into US University papers. (it's a recruitment campaign) This is a new business venture that I'm very excited about!
I've always looked at advertisement and marketing from afar and thought "that looks like so much fun!" I remember watching the movie "What Women Want", and being fascinated with the creative aspect of advertising. I just never fathomed that I'd have the opportunity to be a part of any aspect of it. (Never mind doing graphic work in that area!) I'll write more about this new venture as it develops. My associate is flying to Ottawa in 2 weeks so we can have a meeting to talk about future projects.
OTHER EXCITING STUFF
My Mom and Dad are here visiting. My Mom came in September, but now my Dad is here for a short visit. It's been so much fun to have him here. He's made a great sacrifice in coming, since his health is not great at times. Even with all the ailments he's dealing with, he still took this trip, and I'm so thankful to have him in my home. Seeing him reminds me of how lucky I am to have had such an amazing Daddy. He's always so quick to tell me how much he loves me, and how proud he is of us. (Jason, me...the girls...) It was amazing to show my Mom our new home and city, but something feels so settling about showing my Dad. I'm making sure that he has everything he needs to be comfortable, and as much time as he needs to rest and relax.
Monday is thanksgiving, and my brother Paul and his family are on their way to Ottawa as I type this! They should be arriving tomorrow morning (they are driving thru the night). They have planned their trip to overlap my parent's trip, so that Paul can see my Mom and Dad too. My parents leave on Tuesday, and Paul and Jen will stay a day or two longer. Did I mention that Monica and her boyfriend are going to surprise us all by showing up for Sunday lunch? Good heavens...where ARE all these people going to sit in my livingroom? hahaha.
That's all for now.

I'm glad to hear that you are surrounded by family on the first family holiday away from Winnipeg! I think that is important!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yes, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
You are all kinds of busy!
We want to have you guys over sometime for coffee - I'm just looking for a break in my own busyness! Yikes. Must be the season.
