I had to buy a new hairdryer after my old one shot flames, and then died in a puff of stinky smoke. (long story)
I went to the store, and found one that had lotsa buttons, various heat settings, and the COOL air button that is a must with kids. "Mommmieee...das toooo hotttt!"
I came home with something called the Conair Ion Shine Hairdryer. Apparently, it's supposed to shoot bursts of Ionic air that is supposed to make your hair shiny.
Now...I'm not a sucker, so my first instinct is to think "That's bull!" but then, I'm also not a scientist, so who knows....if it's on the box...maybe it's true???
So...are there any science nerds out there who can tell me whether Ions shot out of my hairdryer actually have an effect?

I'm no science nerb, but I absolutely LOVE my ionic hairdryer. I used the hotel hairdryer on the weekend and noticed a big difference. Could it be true??!!!!
More shiny, eh? That's probably not a good thing for people that already get greasy pretty fast...like me!
