OH EIGHT!

2008....and this is a great way to start off the "08" year!

Today I bought a pair of jeans. I had to take a picture of the tag, because this is monumental!

This is the first time I've been a size 8 since...well...I can't remember when! Probably grade 11? In Winnipeg during Christmas I bought my first pair of size 12 jeans, and that was exciting enough. For a girl who spent most of her adult life in sizes 20 -24...this is quite a milestone!

Now, to be honest, I think the store I bought these in has WHACKY sizing. I knew that, so grabbed for the 10 instead of the 12 when I started. I ended up with the 8 after a couple tries.

Some stores are making their sizes larger to boost women's confidence while shopping there, and cause them to spend more.

Freakin geniuses.

They need a shop like that for men. I'd particularily like a shirt that grows instead of shrinking. Honest, the shirts must be shrinking! ;-)

LOL -- you make me laugh -- I remember when I got to a size 10 for the very first time in a long time...I called my husband on my cellphone from the dressing room, jumping up and down! And, then when I got to a size 8......woooohoooooooo PARTY TIME!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
