That's Love

I love dinner time at our house, because of the chatter that happens with the girls. We get to hear all about their days, and all the drama happening at school.

Anneka: ....and so THEN Charity totally laughed really loud...it was so funny. But Lauren kinda frustrates me...
Me: Oh why?
Aila: *singing* Noel....Noel...Noel...Noel....
Anneka: Now...she's still my friend *holds up her hands* but...I have to say that I think she is kinda a blabber-mouth sometimes...
Aila: *still singing* born is the King of Innes-rial....
Jason: Why would you say that Lauren is a blabber-mouth, Anneka??
Anneka: *deep breath...* "Well...SHES the one who had to ooooopen her mouth and tell Reed that I loved him."
*Jason's mouth drops open*
Anneka:"And it was sooooo embarrassing...I could have died. But then he said that it didn't bother him that I liked him, so I guess it worked out okay. Mommy...he is just sooooo funny! He makes me laugh soooo hard ALL the time! He's the funniest person I've ever met!! That's why I like him. Well...one of the reasons. And on the field trip, he was sitting kinda in front of me on the bus....and all I could do was stare at him. Like, I stared like this *eyes buggin out* I probably looked just like a zombie. But I couldn't help it! I couldn't even hear anything that other people were saying to me on the bus....I just stared at Reed the whollllle time.....alll the way there....
Jason: *whispers to me as he pulls on his collar* I'm starting to sweat...
Aila: *keeps singin* Hmmm hmmm hmmm....
Me: Well...yup...that sure sounds like love, Anneka!
Aila: Sooo...I haf FOUR boyfriends!! *continues singing*

Anneka talked more about her affection for Reed, and Aila kept interjecting here and there.

Yup...gotta love dinner time!! : )

Well, you have really made my day ! Are things like this beginning to happen earlier and earlier or am I just too old to remember ?

I can just see it, Aila singing while Anneka is talking about her "love life".

An other reason why the TV should be turned off during dinner!

I love to hear those stories, it's like being there!

That is so cute and sounds very entertaining.

Our suppers are generally pretty quiet and we have to coax the boys for information from school. I guess there is benefits from both sides.

Watch out world, here comes Anneka!
