Easy Shmeazy

I'm a simple girl. I like simple things. Especially in the kitchen. So here are 3 great recipies that each take only 3 or 4 ingredients!!

SHORTBREAD COOKIES:
1 cup real butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups flour

(cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add the flour gradually, using your fingers to combine it until soft, and not sticky. Gather into a ball, Lightly knead before rolling out on a lightly floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters, and bake on a non-greased pan for 12 minutes in a 325F oven)

THE BEST PLAYDOUGH

3 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
2 packs kool-aid
2 cups boiling water

Mix dry ingredients together. Add boiling water. Knead on a floured surface. Add a sprinkle of flour here and there if you need to obtain the right consistancy.

tip: This will last for months in the fridge....and it's always smooth. It smells YUMMY too! If you have 2 different flavours of kool-aid, just split the recipie in half, putting one flavour in one batch, and the other flavour in the other half of the batch. voila! 2 colours!

MY FAV TERIYAKI SAUCE

1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soya sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
sprinkle of onion flakes.

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Give it a good stir, and serve! (We throw this into a pan of diced chicken or beef, and do a stirfry! It's so good!)

ROASTED SWEET POTATOS

Diced Sweet Potato
Extra Virgen Olive Oil
Club House brand "Roasted Garlic and Peppers" Seasoning

Throw sweet potatos into a large ziplock bag. Add enough olive oil to cover. Sprinkle in some of the Seasoning. Shake. Place in a shallow baking dish, and nuke for 5 minutes. Stir, and nuke for another 5 minutes. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes in a 400F oven. Remove foil for the last 5 minutes to allow potatos to carmalize a bit. Seriously...these are AMAZING! You can do it with regular potatos too....or mix them together!
