Settling In
Well, we are done unpacking. Pictures are hung, paint is dry, and everything is where it should be. Jason organized the storage room in the basement and the garage, and everything looks amazing! (Hurray for Administrative-type husbands!)
I find that I need to go shopping for things to put on my walls. I'm not sure how...but this house seems to have way more wall-space than any other place we've ever lived. Or perhaps its just that there are BIG walls. We have a couple walls that span 2 stories....and when they are empty...they just look enormous. I'm thinking I'm going to go find an art supply store and buy a massive canvas. I have a painting in mind...and I think I'll just do it myself. I mean...how hard could it be?
Work is busy! I have 13 books on the go right now, a website, and another job doing some web-banner design work. It's busy, but rewarding when I complete a job. I still really love my work! It helps that I now have a designated phone line into my office here at home. It's been a real blessing. (Thanks to the Company I'm working with!)
Jason is starting to work, and already had an appointment with a prospect yesterday. It went very well, and will probably sign the contracts with them next week!! I'm so terribly proud of him. He's such a diligent worker, and he really enjoys his job. I think that is the greatest blessing...to enjoy the work you are doing. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to spend your life doing something you hate. I'm so thankful that Jason has finally found his niche!
September and June are the busiest times for Jason. I'm basically a widow in those months. He is gone before we wake up, and working until we go to sleep. Needless to say, I'm glad all the unpacking is done before he's off for the September rush.
That's all for today!

It is a real blessing to have work that you enjoy. But it also is important to have an attitude of being content wherever you are. Ron has the best of both worlds. He is usually happy wherever he is working. Fortunately his job now he just loves. That makes for a happy husband AND a less stressed out wife. There are a lot of people out there that don't like their job but have to do it any ways. You are lucky to have found a job that you love also. I think that is rare.

Ahhhh...moved and unpacked! Now you can rest and breathe a little more. Loving the updates!
moved and unpacked YEAH!!! I am on the other side of it... that horrible interium between getting packed and moved... ack!
I am so happy for you guys though. I am thrilled that Jason is doing so well too. I know the months he is really busy will be harder, but sounds like you have more than enough to keep you busy!
Email me your phone number, I'd love to hear your voice! (not to mention talk to someone who can tell me the craziness of moving DOES end!)
I am always in awe of how you move in and you finish moving in! I don't know how long it will be before we really have found places for everything, decided on where to hang art, and spend the money on window coverings.
Hope the appliances settle down soon.
