Yay for Spring

Well, there are still piles and piles of snow on our front yard, and throughout the city where folks had to pile it when shoveling...but the streets and sidewalks are clear! Bare! No ice!

Today it went up to 7C, and I went on my first run since January. I learned back in Winnipeg that running on snow and ice can be tricky (I only had to twist my ankle once!) So I haven't been able to run for a couple months. I wondered how out of shape I'd be. So, I gave myself the goal of running 15 minutes non-stop. I was able to do it without a problem...in fact, I ran 17 minutes, and then walked for 6 or 7 minutes.

I've also been working out on one of those big stability balls. I don't know what their called, but it's been alot of fun, and very easy! I pull out my Pilates mat, and do a few simple exercises on the ball. I saw results in only 6 days. Pretty cool. My goal is to get ready for summer. I saw some cute sun dresses, and I'm intent on finally being able to wear one for the first time in my adult life!

Anywhoo, it's just nice to feel like spring is arriving. It's been a long winter....and I'm ready to move on!

WAY TO GO GIRL! (altho I'm tempted to blame you for today's snowfall :)

I went to a gym on Wednesday for the first time in my life!!! I did 30mins on a bike. AND on Thursday I went to my first ever class... pilates & I really liked it. I'm signed up twice a week for 10weeks.

Maybe in June we'll be sun dress shopping together!!!

ps. those hummus snack paks from walmart are my new favorite lunch!!
