Girls can like cars too, ya know!

It's pure girl discrimination, I tell you!

I don't really "get" Disney. I mean, how can you put out a film such as CARS, and then put out virtually NO products for girls? Don't they know that half of their viewers are little girls? Girls can like CARS too, ya know!!

Aila wants CARS panties. But they don't exist. You can only get little boy underwear. I had to explain to a weeping 4 year old, why she couldn't wear boys underpants.

Until now, every item with the CARS logo on it has been red, blue, black....well... for boys. A few weeks ago, Auntie Lynne and I stumbled upon the first (and only!) PINK CARS item we'd ever seen. We found a pink CARS backpack! Even with all my Google skills, I've still never seen it ever again....even online. There is virtually nothing in pink-CARS for girls.

Aila carries that backpack EVERYWHERE. She loves it...and it inspired me. My little girl was gonna get some CARS clothing. Period.

I mean...how hard could be?

I bought some t-shirt transfers, designed a decal in photoshop (took a CARS character, and placed it on a pink background with some text) and printed it out. She happily skipped out to the bus-stop wearing it this morning. "I can't wait to show my friends!" she chirped.

Next...I'm gonna buy some plain white panties, and iron on some little cars with pink highlights. Take THAT, Pixar!!

Good for you. You finally got a chance to do what you've been talking about these last few weeks. Yay for Aila. She must be so thrilled.

goooooood Talking Yvonne!

Girls should also be able to wear Cars-shirts I agree, and even play with other boys toys 'whatever it is, but the positive stuffs'. I can picture Aila in her PINK-cars T-shirt, so proud she might be!! As little as she is, she is developing her OWN taste and style, with help of creative designer 'Mom' Yvonne.
