"Camp Fire"

The last part of celebrating Anneka's birthday was having some friends over, and having a camp-fire outside using the outdoor fireplace that Ron and Lynne gave us last year!

Jon Ruby cutting up some kindling for us

Building the fire

Anneka got to roast the first marshmallow! It was great! The kids played on the trampoline for hours. The neighbors even came out and sat with us...and all the kids hung out.
Jason broke out the guitar...

Aila's a talented gal! She was very happy.....until....
She touched the hood of the fireplace, and burned her finger. (her right hand is resting on a bag of ice)
Clockwise, from far left:
Vikki Ruby, Jordan Ruby, Jon Ruby, Stephane Gauthier, Brigitte Gauthier (aka: My little french-friend), Me, Anneka
(Jason is holding the camera....Aila was zonked out on the living room sofa by then)
We're definately gonna do this more often this summer!

Yup...nuthin quite like French wood!

By the way...i found firewood yesterday. Petro Canada on St Joseph/Orleans. You get a teeny bag for $6.99. (as big as 2 or 3 French logs)

scammers!

With the gitar playing Jason, and your friends and the girls..
Yeh ...

I also can remember the fire at Ron and Lynne's house, just like yesterday . I always will remember that 'bonfire' and the 'warm marsmellows' hahaha! ,I never ate that MM before.. but it was so great!

Is this 'fire' done in your front- or backyard? If so, than you have a BIG yard, wow!
