Anneka Turns EIGHT!

If you know Anneka, you know she's very much like her Daddy. And if there's one thing Anneka and her Daddy love, it's to know what's gonna be happening on the schedule. So I made a schedule and put it up for the kids to look at. It turned out to be a big hit with all the kids...they referred back to it over and over!
Anneka got roses from her Daddy for her 8th birthday!

First on the list was a game. The kids took turns having band with a name on their heads. They had to guess what their "identity" was, by asking questions. I made up the questions as a guide for the kids who got a bit stuck.

Huzaifah, Anneka's best friend (also our neighbor!) looked so cute as he concentrated on guessing who he was.

This is Gaby, she is a doll!

Charity (who we LOVED...she was hysterical! My kinda girl...)
Anneka, and Gaby

Craft Time! (Auntie Vikki came to help with the party! What a LIFE SAVER!!)

Then it was time for the Cake!

....and on to presents....

Anneka took the time to read every single card.

I did a funny action song with the kids. That sure brought back alot of memories of my days teaching Music For Young Children!

Then....the Trampoline!

Vikki and I were....uh..."supervising!!"

And we ended it off with a group picture!

And a fun Goofy One too!

Okay, now I wished we had come a week later. It turned out to be a wonderful party for Anneka. Mommie did a super job.

Ever thought about going into party planning?

Great schedule idea ! (I am "one of those" too, hence the bulletin board in the kitchen).

What is the "get to know you" game?

Hey Sandra

The "get to know you game" was fun. I told the kids..."We want to get to know you....except...you are NOT yourself anymore!" the kids took turns sitting in the chair, with a band on their heads, with a character name. The child had to ask questions of the group to help them discover WHO they were! (thus the "who am I?" question sheet to aid them in their quest) Most kids were able to guess the answer by the end of the questions. It was a hoot!!
