Being Sick

We got home from Kansas City yesterday evening, and today I worked a full day, catching up with clients.

Around noon I began to have a headache...by 3 it was pounding every time my heart would take a beat. At around the same time, Aila's cheeks looked a bit flushed. By 4 she crawled into our bed with her blankie saying she didn't feel well. By this evening, she had a fever of 101. So she and I are both not feeling well.

"Mommy....maybe people will give us presents to help us feel better..."

I laughed and asked her just why she would think that anyone would give us gifts for being sick. She pointed out that the last time she was sick, Renee sent her a package with a get-well present and a sweet note. True enough....Renee did. Now she thinks that this is going to be the way it is when she's sick. "Get sick, get stuff"

She's awfully cute, but also awfully delusional. : )

Of course, with Aila, fevers usually also mean nose-bleeds. Should be an interesting couple days.

Hope you are both feeling better by today. Backlash......when you have touched something new in God, the enemy gets angry. Hang in there Yvonne, you are a lovely gift to the thing you are called to in these times, and we are praying.
