July

I can't believe it's already July!! Well...tomorrow that is.

I've been sick for the last few days. Who gets a cold in June? Weird...and it's my second cold in just a couple weeks. I feel wiped...sleeping alot...coughing alot. I wonder if my body is just saying "okay...we're done...it's summer...lets crash!"

Jason gets time off during the summer, so its not as difficult to have the girls home all day. I, however, still have to work. I often feel like I'm neglecting them, but having Jason here to tag-team parent during the day is so awesome. Thankfully, in the last 2 weeks that I've been sick...my work days have been slow. I still have to do a couple hours work, but not full days. I'm so thankful for that!

Jason and I leave on our trip in just 20 days! I've never been so excited!! Since we did not have much of a honeymoon, we decided to go on a trip for our 15th wedding anniversary. We leave for Holland on the 20th of July. I can't wait to make this trip with Jason. I went in 2000, with Rhonda, when I found out I was pregnant with Anneka. Then I went with my mom a couple years later. Now I get to go with Jason...and I'm just looking forward to it so much!!! Sometimes I lay awake in bed, thinking about walking through Haarlem (the town my parents grew up in)...the sights, the smells, the people etc...and I get this silly smile on my face, and feel butterflies in my stomach. The anticipation of the trip is a huge part of the fun!

In other news, I've lost around 12 pounds in the last couple months. Just getting back to my healthy routine....and trying to finish up my weight loss journey (that has been almost 4 years now!) by losing the last 30 pounds. Its the hardest to lose...but slow and steady wins the race!! :)

I'm including a picture of me and Jason because we finally bought a new camera. (Our old one was a big stupid dinosaur!) We're so happy to have a small, lightweight camera that takes great pictures!! I took about 10 pictures in a row, and we were laughing so hard by the end, because we just kept getting sillier and sillier. I love this picture because it captures the joy we have in our lives right now. We are in love, happy, and so thankful to God for his mercy.

Life is good.

SOOOOO Awesome, Yvonne!! I am SOOO Happy or you both! Tat ias the coolest. I totalyl know the anticipation you are talking about .. it is a great feeling! and a big part of the coolness of the whole trip.
It is also encouraging to see and hear about couples who actually claim to be in love after 15 years... Thank you guys for being a witness that way too. :)
And that picture is gorgeous of you, I've been meaning to say. love it! You are looking younger and younger- how does that work?!?! and happier and happier! Yay! I know there are still lots of struggles and things that make you want to explode, but that you are pressing through and MAKING it together, with teamwork, prayer etc. it is just a real blessing to see. :)
Thanks. :)

You guys look awesome! I am thrilled you are 'honeymooning' together in Holland. I've always had a dream to go there since God has spoken to me prophetically about the country. Maybe someday...
Love you all!
